PCPartsPicker India is a buying-guide site for people in India who are building or upgrading a PC. I write the guides and choose what goes in them. This page explains how.

How a product gets into a guide

I start with what is on sale in India, mostly on Amazon.in, because that is what you can buy, return and claim warranty on. I narrow the list by compatibility, price band and warranty, then use the products myself where I can. A product I would not recommend to someone spending their own money does not go in, however well it sells.

How I decide the order

The order reflects my own experience with each product first, then price, warranty and how easy it is to get service in India. When two products are close, I put the one I would buy for a friend first.

Where the numbers come from

Specs such as socket support, wattage, ports and heat-pipe count come from the manufacturer or seller listing. I do not publish benchmark figures I have not measured. Prices and stock change daily, so check the current price on the product page before you buy.

How the guides are written

Drafts are prepared with AI assistance. The picks and their order come from my own experience with the products, and I correct the text where it gets something wrong. If you find a mistake, tell me and I will fix it.

Affiliate links

Product links go to Amazon.in and carry an affiliate tag. If you buy through them I earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. It does not change which products I pick or how I rank them. The full statement is on the affiliate disclosure page.
