The A19 is the fastest chip in any streaming box I know of, the dedicated AV1 decoder handles newer AV1 streams in hardware, and Wi-Fi 7 plus HDMI 2.1 leave it with plenty of headroom. It plays Dolby Vision (profiles 8.1 and 5), HDR10, HDR10+ and HLG, so it suits an LG or Sony set as well as a Samsung. Bluetooth 6 and a Thread radio are built in for accessories and smart-home gear.
For sound, it lists Dolby Atmos, Dolby Digital Plus 7.1 and Dolby Digital 5.1. That covers every Atmos soundbar and the streaming apps. What it doesn’t list is DTS or TrueHD passthrough, which only matters if you play Blu-ray rips through an AV receiver.

If your family uses iPhones, AirPlay, Apple Music and iCloud Photos make the Apple TV feel like part of the house, and the price starts to make sense. If you live in Android apps or want Kodi, the cheaper boxes simply do more.

Setting it up in India
Sign in with an Apple Account set to India, and the App Store shows Indian apps: Netflix, Prime Video, JioHotstar, SonyLIV, ZEE5 and YouTube.

The Nvidia Shield TV Pro costs about ₹37,000 from Amazon US with duty, close to the Apple TV. It’s the box for a home theatre: DTS:X, DTS-HD and TrueHD passthrough and two USB 3.0 ports. It has no HDR10+ and no Indian warranty.
